Billie Piper is rumored to NOT actually be sticking around as the
16th Doctor. The end credits didn’t identify this face as the new
Doctor as they have in the past. ALSO, it is said that this was a
last ditch effort to get a greenlight from Disney for a third season.
But the rumor goes on to say that Disney’s stipulation for a third
season is to remove Russell T Davies as the showrunner.
