Nonpoint - Painful Statements Tour Part 2. The continuing celebration of the bands “To The Pain” 20th anniversary and the 25th anniversary for “Statement.” Support from Upon a Burning Body, and Autumn Kings. This leg starts Aug 8 in Harrisburg PA and runs through Aug 30 in Hobart IN.
Melvins - Stop Your Whining Tour with Redd Kross. Starts Sept 9 in Flagstaff AZ and runs through Oct 21 in Tucson AZ. With a TON of dates in between.
CBGB Fest - Sept 27 in Brooklyn. Featuring Iggy Pop, Jack White, the Sex Pistols, The Damned, The Melvins, Gorilla Biscuits, Cro-Mags, and a ton more. Early Access tickets will be opening soon, but you have to register on the site.

Austin City Limits - The Strokes, Hozier, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Luke Combs, John Summit and Doechi are among the headliners, while Cage the Elephant, Pierce the Veil, Rilo Kiley, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Modest Mouse, Wet Leg, Phantogram, Bilmuri and more are also on board. The festival will take place Oct. 3-5 and Oct. 10-13 at Austin's Zilker Park.

Henry Rollins - Starting a Punk Rock Museum! Bout damn time.
Trivium VS Bullet for My Valentine - The Poisoned Ascendancy tour will be ending early. Now instead of being a world trek, the shows will end after the American leg completes. Bassist Paolo Gregoletto aired the dirty laundry, and it seems the rest of the band are ok with it considering their crew potentially could have lost work over this. Trivium will continue touring, though those plans are still very much in flux at the moment.

TMNT Journeys - The long lost Pete Laird/Jim Lawson continuation series is getting reprinted. Issue 1 goes on sale Aug 20, with pre-orders ending July 14. IDW is reprinting the books an issue at a time. Volume 4 was originally printed in 2001, and was a continuation of the Mirage run, ignoring the Image run all together.

The Pitt – STREAMING ON HBO MAX: Not the regular nerdy thing we talk about here, unless you are a cinemaphile. But it is pretty nerdy on most other levels. It’s well written, well acted, and the doctor talk is pretty accurate, especially when compared to most other hit doctor shows like Grey’s Anatomy. It IS very intense, and not really toned down like other broadcast doctor shows.

Miles & Juliette - New biopic about Miles Davis and Juliette Greco’s romance.

REFUTATION - Matt Reeves - Matt Reeves is STILL directing the sequel to his Batman movie. James Gunn has set the record straight on his Threads account.
New Rumors
Spider-Man 4 - Liza Colon-Zayas casting in the movie has the rumor mill thinking that she is going to be our introduction to a liveaction Miles Morales, as his mother.

Sadie Sink’s new rumored role is as May Parker, the daughter of Peter and Mary-Jane from the Raimi universe. Who in the comics has spider-like mutant powers.
X-Men - Neve Campbell to play Polaris (Magneto’s daughter). Could be for Doomsday, could be for season 2 of X-Men 97.
Clayface - Mike Flanagan script is getting completely re-done by a new writer, Hossein Amini, who wrote Drive.
SGT Rock - The Colin Ferrel movie now seems to be indefinitely shelved. The rumor says that the higher ups at DC (see, James Gunn and Peter Safran) lost faith in the director.
Max Payne - New direct port rumored for the Switch, with a free Switch 2 upgrade.
Hawkeye - The Jeremy Renner series won’t be getting a season 2 because of a lowball offer given by Disney. The rumor is that this is how the house of mouse wanted it to go down, because Feige doesn’t want MAJOR characters in streaming shows, rather they belong in movies.
Xbox Showcase - The rumor mill is all a buzz about what new games will be announced. Zenimax, the studio behind Arkane, has just filed new patents for Dishonored, Wolfenstein, Deathloop, and Quake.
GTA 4 - fueling rumors about the massive delay for GTA VI, Rockstar is porting GTA IV to current gen consoles. The leaker goes on to say that Max Payne 3 likely isn’t far behind.
Annihilators - New Marvel movie rumor. With Nova being possibly cancelled this just seems like a shot in the dark.
Voltron - Straight to streaming says insider.
AVP - Joint cinematic universe in the works. Speculation of a tie-in during the Alien: Earth series on FX.
