Disney Investor's Day Highlights!!

 SO MUCH HAPPENED TODAY!

 

To keep the point of reference, here are the biggest and most interesting bits. 

This is NOT a complete and comprehensive list of EVERYTHING that was discussed during the announcement on 12/10/20. It IS about 80% complete, and the other 20% is director announcements, release date changes, and the like.

For the COMPLETE list of stuff you will have to go elsewhere. BUT if you have been joining the Week In Nerdom episodes, this is everything we have been following. There is a BUNCH of rumor confirmations in here. We will likely cover those on the next episode of the show.

TV/Streaming

• Baymax, Tiana (Princess and the Frog), Moana, Encanto, Zootopia animated series from Pixar

• Secret Invasion series is the Nick Fury series we heard about. With Ben Mendelson as Talos.

• WandaVision will be part of the phase 4 trilogy including Spider-Man 3 and Dr. Strange 2.

• 2 Mando Spin-offs: Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic Both with Filoni and Favreau

• Obi-Wan going into production in March with Hayden Christiansen as Vader.

• Lando series, still no word on WHICH, though there is still reason to believe both

• The Acolyte will be a mystery set in the final days of the High Republic

• 10 Star Wars Series in the works, Rangers Of The New Republic, Ahsoka, Andor, Obi-Wan The Bad Batch, Star Wars Visions,  Lando, The Acolyte, A Droid Story

• Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth coming to the She-Hulk series, confirming the “Many Hulks” rumor.

• Rescue Rangers hybrid animated series.

• Willow confirmed officially

• Warmachine (Armor Wars) AND Ironheart getting their own series

• I Am Groot series. Will start with baby Groot.

   

  
  

 Movies

• Fantastic Four - Jon Watts (Spider-Man) to direct

• Patty Jenkins will direct a Rogue Squadron movie adaptation.

• Indiana Jones Movie with James Mangold directing

• Hocus Pocus 2 direct to Disney+

• Buzz Lightyear PREQUEL movie with Chris Evans voicing the titular character.

• Captain Marvel 2 announced to be featuring Ms. Marvel AND Monica Rambeau

• Christian Bale in Thor: Love and Thunder as Gorr the God Butcher

• Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special coming in 2023

• Jonathan Majors is Kang The Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp 2.

• Enchanted sequel announced with Amy Adams returning. Titled Disenchanted.

 Gaming/Tech

• Hulu to be the place for mature content in the States. Disney+ worldwide, and Disney StarPlus in Latin America
