NBC is trying their hand at an X-Files style show again. This time called Debris, and it is starring Riann Steele (Ant Man and the Wasp, Legacies, Magicians) and Jonathan Tucker (Westworld, Snowfall). Created by the Almost Human creator, J.H. Wyman. This will be the first NBC pilot from 2020 to go to series. Both pilots they had this year got picked up, the other one though, La Brea, won’t go to series until later this year.
“two agents, played by Steele and Tucker, from two different continents, and two different mindsets, must work together to investigate when wreckage from a destroyed alien spacecraft has mysterious effects on humankind.”

Frosty the Snowman
A new Christmas movie from the writer of Elf, David Berenbaum. Has just been announced over at WB. Set to star Jason Momoa, and will be produced by Geoff Johns.

Wal-Mart
The new corporate plan is apparently to start playing movies in the parking lot. No word on the specifics yet, beyond August being their target for rolling this out. Looks like Jaws, Space Jam, and others are on the list.

TNMT
A different reboot. This time it's animated. Point Grey Pictures, Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg’s production studio, has teamed with Paramount Pictures to bring a NEW animated movie to the screen.

Gaming/Tech

Climate Change
The House Democrats put out their plan to combat climate change should they win the majority in November. A part of their 500 page plan involves BLOCKING OUT THE SUN through geoengineering…

Olympus
Following Canon’s example, Olympus is rolling out a program to turn your camera into a webcam, OM-D Webcam. Like Canon’s program, this will be a beta, and will have limited compatibility: E-M1X, the E-M1, E-M1 Mark II, E-M1- Mark III, and the E-M5 Mark II. Unlike Canon, though, there will be no audio from your DSLR to the computer. No word if the resolution will be limited like Canon’s software.

Hyper Scape
July 12 will see the release of Ubisoft’s battle royale entry. The game has been developed directly with Twitch, and will reportedly incorporate Twitch chat directly into the game itself. With the chat somehow affecting the game.

Comic Books/Books

Dresden Files
Newest book in the series releasing July 14.

Star Trek: Discovery
Also releasing this month is a book based on the CBS series. Section 31: Die Standing due out July 14.

Rumor Mill

The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It
New Line is likely to move the third movie from Sept. 11, back to sometime next year.

Fable
Rumors abound about the XBox exclusive series. With Microsoft renewing the patent for the game just days before it expired, speculation has it that there will be a new Fable game as a launch title for Series X.

Bat-ffleck
MORE BATMAN RUMORS! This time they are saying that Ben Affleck has actually signed a deal to return to the cape and cowl. With the rumors continuing, saying that WB is actively working on a proper multiverse. So ALL of the Batman actors could be making some sort of return.

Flashpoint
Michael Keaton is said to be playing Bruce and not Thomas Wayne in a new set of rumors. They also say that we STILL won’t be seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan return as Thomas, as the character isn’t even in the script.

Superman
DC is rumored to be making Supes the head of The Authority in the comic books… a pretty questionable move if real.

Justice League: Rebirth
Reportedly in the works with JJ Abrams being eyed to direct. A soft-reboot… but only if you don’t believe the other rumors.
