New Orleans music legend has passed at 77 from a heart attack.

Mac Miller
Documentary is no more. Director CJ Wallis, was asked by Miller’s management to hold off on the idea for now.

Metarama
Music and gaming festival in Vegas Oct 19-20.

TV

Syfy Cancelations
Happy! And Deadly Class have both been cancelled over on Syfy.

Halo
According to /Film, 343 Industries head Kiki Wolfkill said in a recent interview that they are aiming to have a GoT level of character and plot development, without all the brother sister love.

Swamp Thing
After its first EPISODE the order was put in to cancel the series. The whole first season WILL air in its entirety (10 eps instead of the originally planned 13). There was a nasty rumor going around that there was a funding issue with a grant they production was given from the state of NC. Though such reports were unfounded.



Movies

Halloween… 3?
Jason Blum is apparently “discussing stuff” with Jamie Lee Curtis. No real details what that “stuff” might be, but io9 seems convinced that it has to do with a follow up to last year’s Halloween movie.

Black Adam

Jaume Collet-Serra is in talks to direct. Also did Jungle Cruise with the rock.

Svalta
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are celebrating 20 years as partners with a new horror movie for Orion Pictures.

Marvel Rumor
As we get rolling into phaze 4 the rumors have started to rumble as to who the next big bad will be for the MCU. The first rumor that has been heard from multiple sources is Green Goblin/Norman Osborn. With the Disney/Sony contract for Spider-Man about to get re-negotiated, this one might have some legs.
Also, there are rumblings of future plans for an update to the Avengers. New Avengers, Young Avengers, and Dark Avengers are all apparently fair game.


Gaming

Destiny 2
Not only will there be cross play, but there is going to be cross SAVING. With Sony signing off on the feature just A DAY before the deadline to implement it on the system.

E3
E3 is NEXT WEEK!

Stadia
The google gaming platform is set to launch in November. Google also announced that there will be a free to play version of the platform available some time after the main launch. Obviously the free to play version will have some nerfed specs, but it still sounds pretty interesting.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate
A generally reliable source is teasing that Banjo/Kazooie will be making a showing in the fighter after Joker from persona.
