Shows Makin the Comeback from Quarantine! | Week In Nerdom


Eat The Day
The Demos to be digitally released April 8

Taking advantage of the quarantine. Jurgensen took to IG to share the message of recording during mandated down time.


Shows are returning:
Nancy Drew April 8
Riverdale April 15
Katy Keene April 16
Flash and Legends of Tomorrow April 21
Batwoman and Supergirl April 26
Supernatural and Legacies are still in limbo.

Netflix renewals
October Faction and V Wars cancelled
Locke and Key coming back for a second season.


Sony has joined the pack and pushed back release dates for some of their tentpole movies. Morbius moved to March 19 2021, Ghostbusters to March 5 2021, and Uncharted to Oct 8 2021. Venom 2 stays at Oct 22 of this year.

Dragon’s Lair
Ryan Reynolds is apparently going to be producing and starring in the video game adaptation for Netflix.

Hobbs and Shaw 2
The Rock confirms that the movie is in the early stages of development.


Final Fantasy VII
Square Enix shipped the game early to Europe and Australia in order to get ahead of the coronavirus. So, it seems that gamers in those areas can (and some already have) get the game ahead of the April 10th release.

Comic Books/Books

Rob Liefeld
Deadpool creator is auctioning off original artwork to support local comic shops. He hasn’t made it clear how he is going to donate the money, but he is going to be auctioning off pieces everyday on his IG.

Mike Mignola
Likewise, Mike Mignola is doing the same as a fundraiser for the World Central Kitchen.

Rumor Mill

Super Mario
There are industry reports that Nintendo has been at work on some remasters of older 3-d Mario games. On the potential list are, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario 3D World, as well as a NEW Paper Mario title. It IS the 35 year anniversary for the original game.
